American Death Metal lords Autopsy are planning to unleash hell on 24th June (2nd July US) marks with their sixth studio opus of horror and all-out madness, titled ‘The Headless Ritual’, via Peaceville Records. Featuring the returning quartet of Chris Reifert, Eric Cutler, Danny Coralles, and Joe Trevisano, ‘The Headless Ritual’ is a relentless monster of violent and brutal death metal mastery delivered in the unmistakable Autopsy style of chaotic riffing, insane solos and doom-filled interludes, all served with the band’s unhinged brand of vocal sickness. The album was recorded and mixed April 2013 at Fantasy Studios in California with Adam Munoz, and features cover artwork by renowned artist Joe Petagno (Motörhead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin).
As the band warns: “Expect nothing less than the monstrous brutality that Autopsy has been known to offer. Laurels will not be rested upon, trends will not be followed and mercy will not be shown. Mark your calendars for June and pick out a coffin to lie down and die in. Darkness and death await.....” Tracklist 01. SLAUGHTER AT BEAST HOUSE 02. MANGLED FAR BELOW 03. SHE IS A FUNERAL 04. Century Media have done it again, they have gone back in time and gathered together a whole host of entire demo recordings done by Finnish Death Metal masochists Necropsy. The band started out in the late 1980's / early 1990's and was firmly part of the Death Metal scene, regardless of it's miniscule size at the time. Alongside the band, names like Sentenced, Amorphis, Demigod and Adramelech but to name a few, they were pushing Finnish Metal into greater areas. Sadly they did not captivate a huge audience until 2008, then everything changed and in 2013 it will change again...
“Tomb Of The Forgotten – The Complete Demo Recordings” (to be released on 3rd June, 2013) features the band’s complete demo recordings, from the first demo “Mental Disturbance” (released in 1989) until the last recorded tune “Anointing Of The Sick” (released in 1993). The entire material has been carefully remastered at DMS Mastering Studio (Morbid, Asphyx, Grave etc) from the original tapes. The cover has been designed by César Valladares (Asphyx, Krisiun etc.) and perfectly captures the spirit of the ancient death metal demo days. Timo Hanhirova of Miasma Mag (Finland) has done a detailed interview with Necropsy’s main man Janne Kosonen and former guitarist Aatu Holma telling the entire story of the band. And of course the release is stuffed with loads of old and never-seen-before photos, demo art, flyers etc. “Tomb Of The Forgotten – The Complete Demo Recordings” is going to be released as a 3CD Jewelcase with o-card and extensive booklet as well as on limited 4LP and as digital download. This is a huge move for the metal band as when they were featured on Sam Dunn's 'Global Metal' documentary in 2007 (which was 6 years ago), the Indian Metal scene was noted as only just starting to expand and at that point no major metal band had played in India, until legends Iron Maiden played there which evidently proved to be a revelation and fans from all over the Indian subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, etc) came to watch the show. As for Demonic Resurrection, they were the first Indian Metal band to be signed to a Western record label, British label Candlelight Records. However 2 years later fellow countrymen Kryptos ended up being signed to German label AFM Records. Demonic Resurrection then went on to play at Bloodstock Open Air 2012, this sparked off a series of Indian Metal bands also playing in Europe. The band made the following update as well as releasing a photo album of their studio drum tracking sessions,: "On 6th April 2000 we, played our first show with Naked Earth, Sceptre and Metakix. We complete 13 years as a band today. We have no special announcements, no special events planned, no special release or anything. The last two years have been very hard for us and none the less we've not given up, we may be down now but we're far from out. At this point we're am however happy to say that we have hit the studios and begun recording our 4th full-length album. It will be released this year so stay tuned. A massive thanks to all our fans, well wishers and supporters who have kept us going over years and supported us. Cheers & Stay Demonic!" The album is being recorded at Demonic Studios with front-man Demonstealer doubling up as producer as well. Artists confirmed to appear on "Raging Death" include: Kam Lee (Bone Gnawer, ex-Massacre), Jorgen Sandstrom (The Project Hate MCMXCIX, ex-Grave, ex-Entombed), Rogga Johansson (Paganizer a.o.) and Dan Swano (ex-Edge Of Sanity). Fans will hear the guest vocalists on "Death League". Kam Lee believes that: "Entrails is one of the best Death Metal bands around today hands down - and their track 'Death League' is just pure aggressive cut throat - true death metal in its most rawest and traditional form… the way death metal is meant to be played! When I was asked by the maniacs of Entrails to lend my death growl vomit to the mix I was honored. But the fact that I'm sharing growls alongside other such legendary Swedish death metal vocalist - makes the brutality of the track even more so shredding!! Like a cannibal mutant feeding frenzy of blood soaked gore… this track will make you bleed from the inside out!" Dan Swano stated that he loves "Working with Entrails. Their catchy brand of Death Metal is right up my alley. And when I heard that Kam Lee, Jorgen Sandstrom and some other major dudes we're gonna join forces in a track, I happily accepted the invitation without to blink. A kick ass experience indeed! Make sure you hear it!!" Rogga Johansson acknowledges that "When asked to do some growling on a track by Entrails all I could think was "Fuck yes!". I've been a fan of the band for a long, long time, as I had old recordings on a tape I got from a friend. And when I learned that I'd be in such awesome company as the legends guesting, I was even more happy about it! And the song fucken' crushes!" Jorgen Sandstrom agrees that he: "Did not hesitate a second when Adde asked me to do some vocals for the new Entrails album but I had no idea that I was supposed to be in a song with these Sickos!!! If I knew I would had said yes in Planck time!! Death League FTW!" ENTRAILS comments on Raging Death: "This is the perfect next step for ENTRAILS. A massive stench of death, right in your face! 'Raging Death' as a title suited the album as a whole, since it's pure death metal without mercy!" Raging Death was recorded in different studios, the drum recordings took place at the Racetrack studios while the basis recordings were done at Jimmy Lundqvist's own The Crypt recording studios. The album was mixed and mastered by Dan Swano at Unisound. Raging Death track listing: 1. In Pieces 2. Carved To The Bone 3. Blood Hammer 4. Headless Dawn 5. Cadaverous Stench 6. Descend To The Beyond 7. Death League 8. Chained And Dragged 9. Defleshed 10. Cemetery Horrors ENTRAILS formed in the '90s, but split up before they were able to release a demo or even an album. It took them until 2008 to come back when guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist rediscovered some old tapes. In a moment of nostalgia, he decided that they deserved to be released as they should have been originally. With modern recording technology, the first ENTRAILS demo could finally take shape. After releasing another demo in 2009, ENTRAILS recorded and released their debut album, Tales From The Morgue, in 2010. Just a year later, The Tomb Awaits was released, an album that gained worldwide attention of music fans of the extreme and was considered by many as the best death metal release of 2011. ENTRAILS have played numerous prestigious festivals in 2012 including gigs at Party.San Open Air, Summer Breeze Open Air and Hell Inside festival. Under Hrubovcak’s direction, songwriting and full-on participation in its creation, "The Gravity Of Impermanence" was executed utilizing musicians from Death, Fear Factory, Yakuza, Tristania, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder and more. With over an hour of material displayed through fourteen tracks, the album is fueled by pummeling blast beats, electronic programming, a mixture of both guttural and haunting vocal styles, violins, saxophone, harmonica and a barrage of other instruments coalescing in a melting pot of misanthropic darkness that defines the Azure Emote ethos, recorded, mixed and mastered by Ron Vento of Aurora Borealis at Nightsky Studios. The cover art was once again done by Azure Emote's creator and frontman Mike Hrubovcak, his Visual Darkness works well-known in the death / grind communities for illustrating covers for Sinister, Grave, Cattle Decapitation, Hate Eternal, Mortician, and many others. Today venerable scene news outlet / community Lambgoat.com is hosting an exclusive stream of the opening track to "The Gravity Of Impermanence". The clip was directed by renowned video producer Maurice Swinkels.
Comments AntropomorphiA singer/guitarist Ferry Damen: "We talked about recording a video for 'Psuchagögia' a few months ago and decided to bring in Maurice Swinkels from Younique Film for the visual awakening of this track. I told Maurice some of the ideas I had regarding the 'storyline' and he came up with a great location in the eastern part of Germany, which turned out to be perfect for documenting this somewhat disturbingly and dark tale. We shot the video on September 8th and during the shoot we seriously got beneath the horrid surface of the tale we wanted to tell. It's our first ever video and I can say that we are thrilled about the way it turned out!" The video will be launched before album release in October. It was produced by a dynamically developing label Hellthrasher Productions.
The album has been recorded in spring this year in Roslyn Studio under the supervision of Krzysztof Godycki in band’s strongest and original composition with Dügy on drums and returning on guitar vacancy Rzulty (Stillborn, ex-Deception). 'Aura Damage' is composed of 9 murderous compositions covered with nihilistic somnambulism. It is a mix of a band new approach to a black death metal brutality with tested for years dingy patents known from previous albums 'HornoKracy' and 'Applause: JHVH Elohim Met'. In opinion of those who had a chance to get to know the inside of new record current face of Hell United can be described with a meaningful term of Sadistic Intent meets Arkhon Infaustus. You can judge the heaviness of this words by referring to reveled preview of a single 'Deathlike Cold' here. Here is how Bartek Kosiński, chief of Hellthrasher Productions comments the fact of signing a pledge with Polish quartet: "We’ve decided to cooperate with the band because Hell United has a huge unbridled potential and amounts of evil energy, not completely presented over the early vale of tears. The negotiations weren’t the easiest. It took quite some time but finally we’ve managed to convince the team to work with us which we are damn happy about. After hearing the first few sounds of 'Aura Damage' we are more than sure that the Polish fans of metal will be battered. I truly believe that the album will be heard about abroad too especially that a limited vinyl version will come up next year to help that happen". The first half of 2012, is marked by concerts at the side of Ulcerate, Furia and Intestinal and work on the newest album 'Aura Damage'. www.hellunited.com www.facebook.com/hellunited www.myspace.com/hellunitedofficial www.reverbnation.com/hellunited www.hellthrasher.com www.facebook.com/hellthrasher.prod www.hellthrasherproductions.bandcamp.com |
